Side Cart replaces the default WooCommerce cart page with a drawer that opens straight from any add-to-cart action, without a page reload.
Requirements
Side Cart requires WordPress 6.0 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer and an active WooCommerce. It will not activate without WooCommerce present.
Activating the plugin
Download the Side Cart zip file from ecomdrama.com, then install and activate it like any other WordPress plugin, from Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Activating your license
Enter your license key under EcomDrama → License. Without an active license the drawer keeps working on your store, but Side Cart’s settings are read-only: a yellow banner at the top of the Side Cart screen says “No active license. Changes can’t be saved until you activate your license.”, with an Activate license button that takes you to the License page. If you try to save anyway, the error message tells you the license is the reason.
If the license server no longer accepts a key (for example after it expired or was refunded), you can always remove it from the same License page with its Deactivate button and enter a new one.
Turning the drawer on
The drawer is switched on as soon as you activate the plugin, and from that point it opens automatically on add-to-cart across the site. You can turn it off and on again at any time with the Plugin on / Plugin off switch at the top of the EcomDrama → Side Cart screen.
What happens when it is off
Turning the switch back off returns the store to stock WooCommerce cart behaviour immediately. Your slot order, styling and cross-sell settings are kept and apply again the next time you turn it back on.
