EcomDrama Analytics works entirely inside your WordPress site. It reads the orders WooCommerce already stores, and it sends no order or customer data anywhere.
What it stores
A summary of each order in its own database tables: dates, status, totals, the products on it, the source WooCommerce order attribution recorded (source, campaign, referring site, landing page, pages viewed and number of visits, device type), and what the EcomDrama plugins did on the order. Customers are kept as WooCommerce’s numeric customer ID, so new and returning customers can be told apart. No names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses are copied.
It also keeps a few settings and, per admin user, small preferences such as dismissed recommendations.
What it never does
- It adds no tracking script to your storefront and sets no cookies on your visitors.
- It never changes your WooCommerce orders.
- The weekly email and the dashboard widget contain only store totals and product names — never customer details.
Erasing personal data
When you erase a customer’s personal data with WordPress’s privacy tools, WooCommerce anonymises their orders and EcomDrama Analytics re-reads them, so its summary follows the anonymised order.
License checks
Like every EcomDrama plugin, it checks the EcomDrama license on your site — Analytics uses the key of the plugin it came with — and looks for updates at ecomdrama.com. Those requests carry the license key, your site address, and the WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin versions — nothing about your orders or customers.
Removing the plugin
Deactivating keeps everything, so you can switch it back on without rebuilding. To remove its data when you delete the plugin, switch on Settings → Delete data when the plugin is deleted first: its tables, settings, per-user preferences and scheduled tasks are then removed. Your WooCommerce orders are never touched.
The demo store
The demo uses a fictional coffee shop generated for EcomDrama. It lives in separate tables, never mixes with your data, and is cleared when you leave it or after a period of not using it.
