Plugin impact has one tab for each EcomDrama plugin: Smart Cross Sell, Side Cart and Progressive Discount. Each answers the same three questions — how much revenue the plugin touched, what it cost, and how orders with it compare with orders without it.
What each plugin records
The plugins write a small note on every order they take part in: which bundle a line came from, which cross-sell card added a product, which reward step an order reached. EcomDrama Analytics reads those notes. They exist only for orders placed with a recent version of each plugin, so a plugin’s history starts on the day it began recording — the EcomDrama impact band on Overview shows that date and how many orders carry plugin data.
Smart Cross Sell
Bundle revenue counts only the lines a bundle added, not the whole order. The bundles table lists every bundle with its orders, revenue, discount, gift value, how often it was completed, and how often shoppers used its own Checkout button. Click a bundle for its trend, its products and a Before / after view.
Side Cart
Cross-sell revenue counts the products added from the cart drawer’s cross-sell cards. A product added from a card that also belongs to a bundle counts for Smart Cross Sell, never twice. The free-shipping chart shows where order totals landed against your free-shipping minimum.
Progressive Discount
A rewarded order counts toward Progressive Discount for whatever a bundle or cross-sell didn’t already claim. The step chart shows how many orders landed just above each step — shoppers who likely added something to reach it — and how many stopped just below.
Before / after
For a bundle or campaign, Before / after compares the days before its start with the same number of days after: orders per day, average order value and net sales per day. Pick 14, 30 or 60 days, or move the start date yourself — a start date you change is remembered for your user. Two warnings may appear:
- Not enough orders yet to compare — each window needs at least 10 orders. Pick an earlier start date or a longer window.
- Other changes — another bundle or campaign started inside the same windows, so the difference may not be this one’s doing.
When a plugin is switched off or removed
Its past orders keep their data. When the plugin is deactivated or deleted, its tab stays, marked History, with a note saying when recording stopped, and Opportunities that need the plugin offer to get it again instead of linking to its settings. When it is only switched off in its own settings, the tab is marked Off and links to those settings.
A plugin you have never installed shows Not installed and a What you’d see here card with example numbers from the demo store. A version too old to record shows Update.
