Smart Cross Sell shows a bundle of products that belong together on the product page — “Complete your setup” — and gives shoppers a reason to buy them together: a discount, a free gift or free shipping.
Requirements
Smart Cross Sell needs WooCommerce, WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. It does not activate without WooCommerce.
Activating the plugin
Install and activate Smart Cross Sell like any other WordPress plugin, from Plugins → Add New or by uploading the zip file. Its screen is under EcomDrama → Smart Cross Sell, with four tabs: Bundles, Global Settings, Styling and Explore more.
The main switch
The Plugin on / Plugin off switch at the top of the screen turns every bundle on the storefront on or off at once. It is on after activation, but nothing shows on your product pages until you create a bundle — or turn on the automatic fallback (see How bundles work).
With the switch off, no bundle shows on any product page and the bundle buttons stop adding to the cart. Your bundles and settings are kept as they are. Bundles that shoppers already have in their cart keep their discount until checkout. While the plugin is off, a banner at the top of the Smart Cross Sell screen says so, with a Switch on button.
Your license
The storefront never depends on the license: bundles, discounts and gifts keep working for your customers either way. Without a valid license you can’t save changes on the Smart Cross Sell screen (bundles, settings, styling) and don’t get updates. Activate it under EcomDrama → License.
Without an active license, a yellow banner under the tabs says “No active license. Changes can’t be saved until you activate your license.”, with an Activate license button that takes you to the license page. If you try to save anyway — the main switch, a bundle or its status, deleting a bundle, Global Settings or Styling — the message tells you that a license is the reason.
On EcomDrama → License, Deactivate always removes a key from your site, also a key the license server no longer accepts, so you can replace it with a new one.
