The benefit is the reason to buy the bundle. It applies only when the shopper adds the bundle with its button and every product of it is in the cart.
The benefit types
- No benefit — the bundle is a recommendation with a one-click “add all” button.
- Percentage — a percentage off every product in the bundle.
- Fixed — an amount off the bundle as a whole, never more than the bundle costs.
- Free shipping — shipping costs nothing for the whole order while the bundle is complete in the cart.
- Gift — a product added to the cart for free, once, while the bundle is complete. It must be a simple product and in stock. With Show the gift in the bundle on, the product page shows it as the last product, with its price struck through and marked as free.
What the shopper sees
On the product page the bundle shows its total and a banner: “You save …” for a discount, or the gift or free-shipping text from Global Settings → Storefront display.
In the cart, a discount lowers the price of the bundle’s products themselves: each shows its original price struck through and a line such as Bundle discount: −10% under it. A fixed discount is shared between the products in proportion to their prices. The text of that line is the bundle’s own Discount label, or the Default discount label from Global Settings (“Bundle discount”). A gift shows at 0 with a 🎁 Bundle Gift badge, and its quantity can’t be changed.
If the shopper removes a bundle product, prices go back to normal and the gift leaves the cart; they come back when the product is added again.
Adding the same bundle more than once
Global Settings → Bundle benefit → Apply bundle benefit:
- Once per bundle (default) — the discount or gift is given once, however many times the bundle is added.
- Every time the bundle is added — each added bundle gets its own discount or gift.
Free shipping is the same either way, and different bundles never affect each other.
Coupons and other discounts
Because the bundle discount lowers the product prices in the cart, your coupons apply to the already discounted prices. With Progressive Discount, the campaign counts the bundle products at their bundle price.

On orders
The discount line and the gift badge stay on the order, in the order emails and in the admin, and the order gets a private note naming the bundle and what it saved.
